Abstract
On 4 December 1992, history was made as two pioneers in the library automation industry became one. Geac Computer Corporation Limited (based in Markham, Ontario, Canada) acquired CLSI, Inc. (located in Newtonville, Massachusetts, USA). Combined, the two companies serve a user base of over 55 million library patrons worldwide with revenues of over Cdn $100 million.
