Abstract:
Decide if you are running a company or a cloister. The American Management Associations estimated that 70% of a company's destiny is controlled by external affairs and 30% by internal efforts. Do these numbers strike you as plausible? If you choose to deceive yourself, you can avoid thinking about threats and opportunities. But is this wise?
