Abstract:

PurposeThis paper aims to examine policies on employee engagement, work-life balance, equal opportunities and internal communications that have proved successful at DIY retailer B&Q.

Design/methodology/approachThe paper lists the company's principal initiatives in these areas and demonstrates how they contribute to profitability.
