The IFLA Section on Management and Marketing, in collaboration with Emerald, welcomes final applications for the best library marketing project worldwide.
United Kingdom, April 2008 – Emerald Group Publishing Limited, the world’s leading publisher of management research, and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) are calling for final applications for the 2008 IFLA International Marketing Award.
The award is to encourage marketing in libraries by rewarding the best creative, results-oriented marketing project or campaign worldwide. The winner of the award will be chosen by the IFLA International Marketing Award committee and will receive airfare, lodging and registration for the 2008 IFLA General Conference and Council, which this year is being held in Quebec City, Canada – as well as a cash award of USD 1,000 which must be used to further the marketing efforts of the recognized organization.

The winner will be announced at the IFLA General Conference and Council, to be held 10-14th August at the Quebec City Convention Centre, Quebec City, Canada, with the cash award being presented at the closing ceremony.
Emerald, Gold Corporate Partner of IFLA, is collaborating with IFLA on a number of initiatives throughout 2008 – including the Continuing Professional Development & Workplace Learning Section of IFLA on a special issue to be published in Emerald journal Library Management, as well as the annual sponsorship of the Asia and Oceania Section standing committee social event.
Emerald will be exhibiting at the IFLA General Conference in August, and delegates are invited to meet Emerald representatives at Stand Number 100.
