UNITED KINGDOM, July 2008 – Emerald Group Publishing Limited is pleased to announce that its reprints licensing service is now available through the Copyright Clearance Center’s Rightslink®. The enhancement offers a highly efficient real-time solution to Emerald content users wishing to reuse copyrighted material published in over 180 Emerald journals.
This development also complements the permissions service which has been delivered through Rightslink® online ordering system since January 2008, enabling users to gain instant information and guide prices directly from the article abstract page.
Richard Hollingsworth, Emerald’s Chief Development Officer, says “Emerald is committed to continual improvement of standards in all aspects of its service levels. By investing in the Rightslink® service we once again demonstrate our innovative approach, in line with industry best practice.”
Emerald highlights that, in line with its well-respected copyright policy, the Rightslink® service will continue to support authors who assign copyright to Emerald and will not affect authors’ rights to freely reproduce or republish their own work. It will, however, speed the process for authors seeking guidance about their distribution rights and enable them to benefit both from wider dissemination by ordering article reprints whilst retaining control of their work.
For more information about copyrights, read the Author’s Charter on: http://info.emeraldinsight.com/authors/writing/charter.htm
Dedicated account managers will continue to provide support in person where appropriate. For any queries, please contact Emily Hall, Rights Manager, on ehall@emeraldinsight.com
