Selected up to six KEYWORDS that encapsulate the subject content of your paper, e.g. industrial sector, subject discipline, the theory, the country if context specific.
Specified the TYPE OF PAPER. Is it a Research Paper, Viewpoint, Technical Paper, Conceptual Paper, Case Study, Literature Review or General Review?
Ensured all REFERENCES are in Harvard (e.g. Fox, 1994), and where electronic sources are used the full URL should be supplied at the end of the reference.
Submitted the final finished VERSION OF YOUR PAPER, and checked for grammar, spelling and typographical errors.
Provided the final version electronically by email or CD using Word, Rich Text Format or Tex/Latex.
Copied and pasted FIGURES from the origination software into a blank Microsoft Word document, or saved and imported into a blank Microsoft Word document.
Submitted FIGURES in one of the following standard image formats: MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel or Illustrator. Electronic figures created in other applications should be copied from the origination software and pasted into a blank MS Word document or saved and imported into a MS Word document. Acceptable standard image formats are: .pdf, .ai and .eps. If you are unable to supply graphics in these formats then please ensure they are .tif, .jpg or .bmp at a resolution of at least 300dpi and at least 10cm wide.
Submitted PHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGES electronically saved as .tif or .jpg files at a resolution of at least 300 dpi and be at least 10 cm wide. Digital camera settings should be set at the highest resolution/quality possible.
Provided high quality electronic files of all FIGURES, CHARTS AND SCREEN SHOTS.
Adhered to the WORDCOUNT limits as stated in the Author guidelines.

9.  Permissions checklist

Please note that Emerald requires you to clear permission to re-use any material not created by you. Emerald is unable to publish your paper with permissions outstanding.

Please ensure you have done the following, and complete the check boxes:

Cleared permission to use any material (including content available on the web) not authored by you. This applies to tables/illustrations/figures/photographs and excerpts of more than 400 words. Please attach evidence to this form.
Included full references for all tables/illustrations/figures/excerpts. (Please refer to the Author Guidelines for advice on correct acknowledgement).
Cleared permission with the copyright holder for minor adaptations.
Cleared permission with any company if you have included a photograph of a logo or product.
Cleared permission with the creator(s) of any photograph(s), if not taken by you.
Where possible, cleared permission with the subject(s) of any photograph(s).
Cleared permission to use any material authored by you, if you have assigned copyright to another party.

Emerald is a member of the STM Association and participates in the reciprocal free exchange of material with other STM members. This may mean that, in some cases, authors do not need to clear permission for reuse of content. Authors should check the STM website to find participating publishers and follow STM’s permissions guidelines.
