Introducing Stress and Stress Management to Managers

Abstract
The major costs of stress‐related illness and the hidden costs of absenteeism, reduced productivity, impaired decision‐making ability and early retirement are reviewed. The causes and effects of stress are discussed and ways of managing stress are proposed which include psychological and behavioural techniques.
