Abstract

Presents an analysis of the economy and manufacturing industry in South Korea. Illustrates how South Korea is emerging as an industrial giant and describes the success of five of its leading companies from the automotive, shipbuilding and steel industries. Identifies the best practices adopted as well as some of the current issues faced by the companies.
