Abstract
Purpose
The paper aims to introduce the emerging Li-Fi technology and provide an outlook of its current and potential application.
Design/methodology/approach
The paper is based on a literature review.
Findings
The merits and demerits of the technology are discussed.
Originality/value
The paper makes first observation toward the concept of Li-Fi technologies.
