This review assessed acupuncture compared to placebo acupuncture and noacupuncture for pain. The authors concluded that there was a small analgesiceffect of acupuncture which lacked clinical relevance and cannot clearly bedistinguished from bias. The conclusion was an accurate reflection of theresults of a generally well-conducted review, and was likely to be reliable.
