Basic briefing: moving the electronic office
Abstract
The level of expertise demanded of a facilities manager covers an extraordinarily wide band — he may be a specialist, one of a team, required to know everything about something. Or he may be an isolated individual, required to know something about everything. This section of Facilities will be devoted to a simplified, checklist view of the fundamental topics, in the belief that at this stage in an evolving discipline it would be a rash commentator indeed who could point to one body of knowledge and say, this is central and will be generally known, and to another and say, this is esoteric — we can either forget it or presume ignorance.
