Abstract

An example is provided of the various partnerships with education developed by one organisation and the wide variety of facilities which can be offered, embracing all sectors \em\ primary, secondary and higher education. In addition links are maintained with professional institutions such as the Institute of Metals and the Engineering Institutions. A bursary scheme for senior staff in schools and colleges is in operation, involving a period of preparation in a British Steel plant as well as attendance on the four‐week management course at the steel industry′s management college at Ashorne Hill and an attachment to a works to study a specific management problem affecting education.
