Findings
This year's IET (Institute of Engineering and Technology) Innovation in Engineering Awards recognised excellence in engineering innovation across a range of industry sectors and engineering disciplines. Among the winning innovations were a specially developed greenhouse that uses sunlight and seawater to grow crops in arid areas, a microwave based system for detecting breast cancer tumors and an early vital signs detector for use in intensive care unit.
