Abstract

Describes some features specifically designed, or adapted from other disciplines, to be used in operational corporate real estate management (CREM) as a part of a research project being developed at the University of Reading. Adapts popular management concepts and tools, such as the balanced scorecard, the Boston matrix, and the Dupont tree, to be used in CREM. Concludes by linking the use of these features, via a meta‐model for CREM (CREM‐MM), described in a previous article, with the description of some results from the application of the model in one of the major operational property owners in the UK (to be described in a forthcoming article).
