Abstract

Purpose

The purpose of this paper is to provide a flavour of the content of the LILAC Conference held in London, UK in April 2011.

Design/methodology/approach

This paper provides an outline of the content of the LILAC Conference, noting the key themes. The keynote speakers focused on the topics of the digital transition, school librarians and international indicators of information literacy.

Findings

The conference involved over 70 papers and workshops covering both the theoretical and the practical, with delivery running over the three days of the conference in five parallel sessions.

Originality/value

The conference provided an insight into the developing trends for information literacy.
