The need for training to avoid lawsuits
Abstract
Cites that the best strategy to resolve litigation is prevention. Gives evidence of the cost to businesses of such action and attempts to show how litigation is fuelled. Looks at the need for training covering areas such as the employee handbook, wrongful termination, sexual harassment, free speech and the hiring process. Suggests that arbitration should always be considered before litigation and argues that it is necessary to create a culture where discriminatory practices cannot survive.
