Magneto‐thermo‐elastic vibration of thin shells under a surge current

Pawel§ Zimny (Gdánsk Technical University, Gdánsk, Poland)

Abstract

The mathematical model of thin cylindrical conducting shell deformation under a current surge was elaborated. The shell deformation influence on the electromagnetic and thermal field distribution has been calculated. The perturbation analysis of the vibration of a thin cylindrical shell under heavy current surge was given. The critical wave number and mode was found and the most probable instability was calculated.
