Abstract

Purpose

‐‐ The purpose of this paper is to evaluate two business directories.Design/methodology/approach ‐‐ The paper reviews the organization of information, ease of use, coverage, and each directory's unique features.Findings ‐‐ These two business directories have similar search capabilities and unique features. Mint Global seems to contain detailed financial information that would be useful for a business researcher, but which is unnecessary for the regular user who is looking only for a business list.Research limitations/implications ‐‐ This is a short review that does not cover all the features and tools offered by the directories.Originality/value ‐‐ The paper provides a brief comparative overview of two business directories.
