Abstract

Addresses four key areas where environmental accounting is important to accountants in the profession: the position today ‐ some of the key issues that accountants are responding to, and how; the pressure for change ‐ why accountants need to be concerned, and some of the pressures for change; the key issues ‐ some of the key issues and outstanding problems; and a vision ‐ how the accounting profession will respond to environmental issues.
