Abstract

Many UK companies are establishing a physical presence in other European countries. This means owning or leasing property which may need adapting and will need maintaining. Highlights a number of differences in the processes used to have building work carried out by small builders in the UK and France. UK managers unused to dealing with building projects in other countries need to be aware of the possible differences in culture and regulations. Compares current practices in the UK and France.
