Abstract

Reviews articles published in the Annals of Tourism Research over a six‐year period, from 1989‐1994. Identifies four main themes – hosts′ perceptions; travel and destinations; arts, souvenirs and artefacts; and tourism planning – and seeks to establish emerging patterns for further research.
