Abstract

This paper proposes that the integration of technology in classroom teaching can be a significant factor in promoting academic innovation and in transforming the teaching and learning paradigm. The paper outlines training and development programs used by the University of Puerto Rico and reports on the feedback and outcomes so far. Conclusions and future avenues of research are discussed.
