Exploring career chaos: patterns of belief
Abstract
Presents a view of the field of career development as a chaotic subject. The concept of “chaos”, from chaos theory, is described and related to the study of career development. A phenomenological perspective, exploring people’s beliefs, is then adopted to explore the underlying “order” that exists within this chaos. The purpose of this is to promote and refresh adventurous thinking about the study of career development.
