Abstract

Wigan and Leigh College and the 5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Trust have had an effective working partnership for more than seven years. This partnership has enabled Wigan's mental health service to offer inclusive and holistic care packages for service users. The college has just been awarded the prestigious Beacon Award in recognition of the work it has done for student support. For some years, the college has had a strong and college‐wide commitment to inclusive learning that has been developed and promoted by the college's inclusive learning team. The team ensures that the college provides ‐ and students receive ‐ an individual service based on a good match between their requirements and the college provision.
