Abstract

Change is afoot in Abbey National Retail Banking, according to Tony Teague, retail program director of the UK bank’s retail‐transformation program. Tony Teague heads a 120‐strong team of project managers who share his vision and commitment to building a world‐class project‐management team. He believes his “secret weapon” is Dr Eddie Obeng, who has taken his “new‐world” rules to Abbey National’s retail‐transformation program. These techniques seek to help an organization to improve business performance and gain competitive advantage in an era of global economics and electronic commerce.
