Services for the next generation: Planning for the future

Abstract

HOUSING, CARE AND SUPPORT have come a long way in the last 25 years. They are now a mainstream rather than peripheral part of service planning and provision. Changing expectations, a new integrated approach to the planning and funding of services will set major challenges for both service planners and providers ‐ the new emphasis on outcome measures, a genuine partnership with service users, a new focus on supporting people in their communities.
