Abstract

Purpose

This paper aims to show the relationship between trust and clear communication and why it is essential for organizations to develop these high trust firms.

Design/methodology/approach

Current research and case examples are used to highlight key elements.

Findings

The paper describes what several organizations are doing to create these high trust organizations.

Practical implications

The article has a focus on practical applications for managers in creating better communication and development trust within organizations.

Social implications

It is hoped that decision makers will take stock of the research and tools recommended and begin creating high trust open communication organizations. It is these types of organizations which are best positioned for future success.

Originality/value

The paper is original, bringing together practical tools for better management within organizations.
