People – The Vital Force

Abstract

The importance of people as a resource and the key to success is discussed. Continuing investment in this resource is stressed rather than an ad hoc approach. Four major items are given for the agenda of chief executives and their boards – supply, skill, employee involvement and pay‐with a view to planning a business strategy now.
