LC and BL: Libraries of Tomorrow

Abstract

Developments in the Library of Congress and British Library are surveyed as they relate to new technology and its impact on libraries. Featured are: the LC′s Machine Readable Collections Reading Room; remote access to LC databases and a cable TV project; the BL′s Information UK 2000 project and the UK Office for Library Networking.
