Protect Your Fixed Disk form (Re‐)Formatting
Abstract
Suggests a solution to the problem of accidental loss of data from a fixed disk by misuse of the FORMAT command. Describes the two‐step process of renaming the FORMAT.COM file on the hard drive, and creating batch files on the hard drive for allowable uses of the renamed command, so that accidental reformatting of the hard drive becomes highly unlikely.
