Announcement of new Co-Editor for QRAM

Article Type: Editorial From: Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management, Volume 12, Issue 1

I am delighted to announce that, as of 1st January 2015, Professor John Burns has joined me as Co-Editor of Qualitative Research in Accounting & Management (QRAM).

John brings a wealth of expertise and experience to the QRAM team. He has been at Exeter Business School since 2010, following previous posts at the University of Dundee, the University of Colorado (Denver) and the University of Manchester. Broadly, John’s research interests include: organisational change, strategic management, sustainable business practice, new product development and design and management accounting. Past academic publications have appeared in journals such as Accounting, Organizations and Society, Organization Studies, Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal and Management Accounting Research. He is also the lead-author of a management accounting textbook, published by McGraw-Hill. John joins QRAM with 11 years’ experience as Associate Editor for Management Accounting Research, and three years’ experience as Associate Editor of Accounting and Business Research. He is co-founder of the “European Network for Research of Organisational and Accounting Change” (ENROAC), a network that has enjoyed nine international conferences and seven doctoral summer schools since its formation in 1998. John has been a member of chartered institute of management accountants (CIMA’s) Research Board since 2000, and is Visiting Professor at WHU Otto Beisheim School of Management (Germany), University College Dublin (Ireland) and Trondheim Business School (Norway).

John’s new role as QRAM Co-Editor comes at a time when this journal is continuing to build its international profile, having recently been promoted in both the UK’s Association of Business Schools (ABS) and the German Verband der Hochschullehrer fur Betriebswirtschaftslehre (VHB) journal quality rankings. Exciting times are ahead for QRAM and, together, John and I look forward to working with our Associate Editors, our Editorial Advisory Board and our QRAM community of scholars to continue this journal’s development.

With best regards.

Deryl Northcott - QRAM Co-Editor
