HexSight* High-Performance Vision Software Selected for PCB Rework Machines
Adept Technology, Inc., a leading manufacturer of flexible automation for the telecommunications, fiber optic and semiconductor industries, has announced that Infotech AG of Solothurn, Switzerland, has standardized on Adept's HexSight machine vision software for their high performance PCB rework systems.

HexSight machine vision software provides tools for machine guidance and parts inspection. It is an open system product that runs on a PC and uses off-the-shelf cameras and frame grabbers. Because it provides rapid application evaluation development, this stand-alone solution lets OEMs add high- performance vision, at a reasonable cost. HexSight software rapidly and accurately locates objects based on their geometric features. Its locator tool uses the most advanced feature detection technology to identify objects and patterns based on their geometric characteristics.
