In World Patent 97/35931, Kansai Paint Co. Ltd describe an anticorrosive coating composition. It comprises: (1) epoxy resin; (2) an amine hardener; (3) a hydroxylic petroleum resin or a cracked residue having a softening point range of 50 to 150°C, preferably containing (4) a modifier.
It is characterized in that the amount of component (3) is 20 to 500 parts by weight per 100 parts by weight of the cured solid resin formed from the epoxy resin (1) and the amine hardener (2).
