Increased capacity results in orders

Increased capacity results in orders

Investment in the latest CNC lathes, drills and conventionally operated machines has enabled flange manufacturer, Lye Technical Components Ltd (+44 (0) 1384 898040) to secure major orders for the oil and gas producing industries (Plate 4).

The result of the new investment has been to incrcase manufacturing capacity and flexibility. This has enabled Lyetech to win orders, worth approximately £1Ž2 million, for non-standard sized flanges, in special materials and on extremely short lead times.

The first order, for an oil installation in the Middle East, called for low pressure, non-standard flanges in ANSl special sizes up to 6in. NB, in duplex stainless steel grade F5l. The second order, for special API, heavy pressure, flanges in sizes up to 10in. NB involved super duplex stainless steel grade UNS 32760 and carbon steel faced with Alloy 625.
