For monitoring the quality of back purge gas when welding stainless steel, chrome molybdenum and copper nickel, the Argweld® MKIII purge monitor has just been released (Plate 4).
Following many years of success with the Mark I and Mark II, the latest model employs a new long life sensor, reportedly increasing the life from six to 36 months and a temperature compensation circuit to keep the unit in calibration in all applications.
The MKIII has a simple to use, robust calibration knob on the front ideally suited for use under site conditions.
This Argweld instrument comes complete with a carry strap, a set of instructions for use and a guide to purging.
