New Coventry site for Impact Finishers

Keywords Relocation, USF

Shot peening and surface finishing subcontractor Impact Finishers Ltd, part of the USF Surface Preparation Group has relocated its Coventry facility to new purpose-designed premises.

The company's new address is: Unit 5, Sandy Lane Business Park, Coventry, West Midlands CV1 4DQ. Telephone and fax numbers are 01203 258811 and 01203 258822, respectively. Impact Finishers, which also operates a facility in Slough, was previously located at the Dunlop site in Holbrook Lane, Coventry.

Precision shot peening is an area of particular expertise at Impact Finishers' Coventry facility, and the company undertakes the process used to improve the fatigue resistance of metal components under cyclic stress for "blue chip" customers in the aerospace, automotive and power generation fields. The associated processes of "peen straightening" and "peen forming" are also carried out at both Coventry and Slough. Impact Finishers is one of the few firms in the UK to offer these highly specialised operations on a subcontract basis.

New state-of-the-art programmable shot peening systems have been installed at both the company's sites during the past year. These meet all the latest operating standards and quality specifications, including those of all international aeroengine manufacturers and airlines as well as the defence industry.

In addition, Impact Finishers specialises in the cosmetic "satinising" and texturing of stainless steel surfaces and offers metal spraying, painting and powder coating services.

Impact Finishers has also recently introduced a fast-response 24-hour service for the Aircraft On Ground (AOG) peening of aeroengine and aircraft structural components and has upgraded its transport support package to provide rapid collection and delivery of parts.
