Denso protection at the Millenium Dome

Keywords Coatings, Denso

Winn & Coales' Denso materials are being used at the Millennium Dome site to protect joints on a buried 1,100mm ductile pipe carrying surface water run-off to an outfall.

Contractors Edmund Nuttall Ltd first applied Denso Profiling Mastic to the joints, which were then wrapped with Winn & Coales' Denso Reinforcing tape. This was then coated with Protal epoxy coating to give long life protection.

The latest version of Denso Reinforcing Tape is a tough fabric tape coated with a polymer bitumen adhesive compound. The fabric can be coated with a Denso epoxy coating to give a strong durable finish. Denso Reinforcing Tape is a component of Winn & Coales' Covercoat system.
