High density feed-through seal assemblies

High density feed-through seal assemblies

Keywords Conax Buffalo, Seals

The latest multi-conductor, high-density, feed-through gland assemblies use special soft-seal technology pioneered by Conax Buffalo. They maintain barrier integrity while providing penetration for continuous wire feed-through connections for thermocouples, resistance temperature detectors and low voltage instrumentation.

Soft seal technology permits seals to be made mechanically using a simple gland assembly. Seals can be disassembled and remade, reused, or reconfigured.

Two sizes of high density feed-through sealing gland assemblies are available. The first (Plate 9) is designed to carry 12 wires sealed in a stainless steel tube. A 24-wire tube assembly is also available. Any combination of thermocouple pairs and single-wire copper conductors can be specified.

Both 12 and 24-wire gland assemblies are suitable for use in vacuum and pressure vessel applications and for process and temperature control monitoring.

Important specification detail includes: a 80°C to + 120°C temperature range; voltage/ current rating 100Vdc/500mA; and standard pressure rating vacuum to 354 bar max.
