Corus backs Engineering Doctorate Scheme

The Engineering Doctorate Scheme in Steel Technology is a partnership between Corus and the steel supply chain, the University of Wales and the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council. All the sectors serviced by Corus, including the automotive industry, construction and packaging are covered, while the process and product technology themes cover manufacturing, product development and the environment. The 4-year program allows the best science and engineering graduates to pursue doctoral research while gaining "hands on" experience in industry. Winner of the Queen's Anniversary Prize for Higher and Further Education, the program gives graduates high-quality training with the aim of ensuring the future success of UK manufacturing industry.
