Bayer's Carl Angeloff to preside over SSPC

The Society for Protective Coatings has announced that Carl Angeloff has assumed the role of president of the SSPC board of governors. Angeloff replaces Robert A. Kogler of the Federal Highway Administration, who was unable to complete his term as president due to other commitments and responsibilities within his agency.

Angeloff has served on the SSPC board for 5 years and had been voted president-elect in July 2004. He is manager of market development for the Maintenance and Monomers coatings business for Bayer MaterialScience, LLC.

Angeloff began his career with Bayer in 1990 as a technical marketing specialist. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with BSCE and MSCE degrees. After college, Angeloff worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT), where he was the district bridge engineer in Western Pennsylvania. After leaving PennDOT, he worked for the American Institute of Steel Construction as Northeast regional engineer. Angeloff is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and North Carolina, and the author of over 40 papers on polyurethane coatings and steel and concrete structures.
