Direct-acting solenoid valves developed for use in corrosive and hazardous environments in the petrochemical, process, chemical, oil, gas and food industries.

The 67 series of direct-acting solenoid valves from Midland-ACS has been developed for use in corrosive and hazardous environments in the petrochemical, process, chemical, oil, gas and food industries. Atex approved, the marine grade (316L) stainless-steel valves are for general-purpose piloting, diverting or mixing tasks with gases, air and light oils. Available in three pipe sizes of 0.635, 0.952 and 1.27cm NPT, and rated for operation up to 20bar (with 10bar maximum differential), the solenoid valves are rugged in their construction and offer high degrees of ingress protection – IP65 on standard enclosures and IP67 on explosion- proof, Atex certified enclosures.

To ensure reliability in the most corrosive environments, the valves use internal parts of 316 stainless steel and seals of Nitrile (standard) or optional Viton and EPDM materials.

These combinations let the valves be used on gases, air and light oils across ambient temperatures from -50 to +70C.

They are 3/2 configuration valves offering the flexibility for normally open, normally closed and universal operation.

They are supplied with 100 per cent continuously rated Class H solenoids, in 24 V DC and 24, 110, 120 and 230V AC configurations (50 or 60 Hz).

The solenoids have the option of being equipped with manual overrides or manual resets, and there is a choice of connection options, including PG9 (via a Din plug) on the standard enclosure and a 20 mm facility on the explosion proof housing.

Complementing these are 1.27 and 1.9 cm NPT options.

The valves can be supplied either as discrete units or as part of fully designed, assembled and tested systems in stainless steel or marine grade flameproof enclosures.

In these systems, Midland-ACS combines them with other pneumatic and hydraulic control valves and ancillary components to provide bespoke control panels for use on oil and gas rigs offshore.
