Such plugs are used widely in plumbing, petrochemical, water, power and construction industries as well as for civil contracting and ground works, for sealing pipes, blocking them, testing for leaks and to prevent entry of unwanted foreign material.

Sometimes known as “Drain Plugs” this new range comprises half inch as well as full inch sizes to ensure that every pipe and tube diameter between 1.5 and 6 in. has a plug that will seal to full pressure and leak tightness. The full range has the following sizes: 1.5, 2, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5, and 6 in.

This new Pipestoppers plug range is manufactured with new technology that allows the Company to provide more robust, higher quality products but at lower price, without sacrifice of materials.

Attention has been paid to see that the Pipestoppers Aluminium plugs have full length 1/2 in. bsp€ waterways giving adequate remaining thread for complete sealing with the cap and to allow good use of Hose Connections, etc. In addition, the Company manufactures a number of plug sizes with extended shafts. These allow for the manufacture of “double plugs” for extra leak tightness and stability and so that customers might insert the seal further inside a pipe.

Also if the Pipe is covered by a fascia or border, the longer length shafts allow operators to install the seal inside the pipe whilst still expanding the plug clear of the obstruction.

The natural rubber sealing rings on the Pipestoppers plugs remain full depth as always with no sacrifice of materials as caused in other parts of industry by increases in raw material costs. This allows the Pipestoppers plugs to expand to greater diameters as they are compressed.

Furthermore, Pipestoppers plugs can be delivered with full size Nitrile, Neoprene, Viton or other synthetic rubber seals to allow use with harmful or corrosive chemicals and fluids.

One more advantage of the New Range of Pipestoppers Aluminium Drain Plugs, is the use of a tough wing nut with a friction free washer underneath to make plug tightening much easier without the need for tools that break the wings off inferior nuts.
