The new ACS and Conference will be held June 2-5, 2008 at the Charlotte Convention Center, NC The National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA) has partnered with Vincentz Network (VN) – organizer of the highly successful European Coatings Show (ECS) – to create a world-class event of superior quality and expertise similar to the ECS.

The theme of the event, “The Next Level,” embodies the goal of creating a unique, transatlantic exchange that goes above and beyond what has been offered at any other industry show in the USA. “This will be the must-attend event for the coatings industry providing inspiration as well as networking and business opportunities” said J. Andrew Doyle, President of the NPCA and added “that the leading coating manufacturer and supplier companies have endorsed the event”.

Added Value: American Coatings Conference

The two-day American Coatings Conference will begin on June 2, providing a forum for the foremost scientific minds in the industry.

Reflecting the vision of the new ACS, the concurrent AC Conference will take the industry to “The Next Level”. The theme for the conference will set the stage for a high-level technical and scientific meeting, rallying the leading industry experts from both coatings manufacturers and their suppliers from across the nation and beyond. With a clear focus on presenting the most recent innovations in raw materials and equipment, and covering the entire range of coatings formulation aspects, the two-day event will feature a rich variety of top-notch scientific papers and speakers. The conference organizers will select proposed technical presentations based on their scientific significance and their potential to add value to the industry. The official “Call for Papers” is now available and companies are kindly invited to submit papers. “We will be honored to review contributions from the coatings community to create a convincing content package” said Dr Barbara Brune, Editor-in-Chief at VN and member of the Conference Program Committee.

The ACS will open its doors on June 3 and will be the marketplace for the presentation of products and services for the production of high-grade and competitive coatings and paints.
