Racal lightens the load for EH101
Racal Avionics will install its latest Lightweight Common Control Unit (LWCCU) in the Royal Navy's Merlin and RAF's EH101 Support Helicopters under contracts from GKN Westland Helicopters Limited worth over £4 million. The LWCCU is the main pilot/co-pilot interface with the aircraft's mission, tactical, navigation and communications systems. It provides a significant airframe weight saving as well as increased reliability and maintainability over earlier systems.
