Once installed on the user's PC, the CD-ROM provides quick and easy access to a comprehensive range of bearing related data from SKF, the world's largest bearing manufacturer. These are supported by copious graphics via a series of on-screen menus.

The system is simple to use with its 14 major headings. These include introduction, basic theory, bearing types and the selection of bearing type and size. Data on friction, speeds and application of bearings, lubrication and maintenance, mounting and dismounting, product data, tutorial questions and application examples are also included. These are then sub-divided into more specific information groups with an on-screen help and a general alphabetical index.
