Dual-marked wire available in aerospace support package
Dual-marked wire available in aerospace support package
A new product offered by Rayfast for workshops involved with both civil and military aerospace work is dual-marked, CAA/Def Stan, Raychem wire which reportedly can halve theft inventory requirements for wire.
The wire is available as part of a Raychem aerospace support package introduced last year by interconnection specialist Rayfast to meet the needs of operators when they have aircraft on the ground, undergoing routine maintenance, systems overhaul, upgrading or refit.
Specified on military and commercial aircraft, Raychern airframe wire is said to offer improved performance while meeting the need for reduced size and weight and includes EMI-resistant constructions. Qualified to stringent aerospace performance specifications the dual-marked wire claims, among other attributes, altitude immersion sealing, resistance to fluids, high levels of vibration tolerance and elevated temperature resistance.
The Rayfast package offers a comprehensive Raychem product support facility. Thanks to a close working relationship with electronics manufacturer Raychem, Rayfast offers ex-stock a complete range of airframe wire, tubing, interconnection devices, crimp terminations and splices.
Obtaining components from one source can considerably improve efficiency, leaving the customer free to concentrate on the actual engineering work. Available according to customer need, the new service was introduced to save time for workshops in sourcing required components and to reduce the loss represented by aircraft not earning money.
All products in the package can be supplied in low volumes, to meet the needs of operators of one or two aircraft.
