EnSolv conforms to aerospace standards

The use of EnSolv precision cleaning solvent for aircraft maintenance and as an exterior general cleaner has reportedly been tested by Scientific Material International Inc. (SMI) of Miami for US-based aircraft manufacturers. EnSolv is now stated to be certified by SMI to conform to the following standards: ASTMF945, stress corrosion of titanium alloys; AMS1526B, cleaning of aircraft exteriors; CSD1, Douglas aircraft general purpose cleaner standard.

According to Croftsha, EnSolv was shown to be highly effective as a manual cold cleaning solvent for spray wipe or dip application, removing oil and grease from mechanical and electrical components, for cleaning and developing crack detection fluids and as a general purpose solvent for aircraft exteriors. EnSolv is stated to be safe with all metals and most plastics and elastomers and can be used either as an immersion or spot cleaner for populated printed circuit boards to remove flux deposits and dirt in manufacturing or service cleaning.

EnSolv precision cleaning solvent is reported to be non-flammable, fast drying with low odour. Very low surface tension ensures excellent penetration and residue free surfaces.

EnSolv is claimed to be an economical, environmental friendly low toxicity replacement for 1.1.1., trichloroethane and HCFC141 b.

EnSolv is available in aerosols, 25 litre and 200 litre drums. EnSolve is manufactured in the UK by Enviro Tech International for Croftshaw Solvents Limited.
