RAF signals MAX success in £300k software contract

Following a successful competition, the Royal Air Force Signals Engineering Establishment (RAFSEE) has placed a contract, worth approximately £300k, with MAX International for its MAX Business Management System, including Workflow, replacing its ICL mainframe manufacturing system, OMAC. The contract called for the implementation of the MAX NT system to be completed by March 1998, with the software running on an Informix database and Compaq hardware, initially serving 100 concurrent users.

The MAX software will provide a fully integrated system encompassing contract management, inventory management, cost management and purchasing. Workflow processing will be integrated with this system, eventually interfacing to new project management and CAD systems.
