Global maintenance support agreement for BAe 146 APU

British Aerospace Asset Management-Jets (AMJ) and AlliedSignal Aerospace have signed a Global Maintenance Support Agreement (MSA) covering the long-term maintenance, repair and overhaul of AlliedSignal auxiliary power units on AMJs BAe 146 jetliner portfolio.

The bulk of the AMJ fleet is equipped with either the GTCP 36-100M APU, or the 150M version which was introduced for the bigger BAe 146-300.

Under the terms of the five-year contract, and in return for a fixed basic hourly fee paid by AMJ's leasing customers, AlliedSignal will install mandatory modifications and a range of reliability modifications into the GTCP 36-100M/1150M APUs and almost double the overhaul interval. All off-aircraft APU maintenance, repair and overhaul will be provided by AlliedSignal at its Raunheim, Germany, facility under the agreement.
