Meggitt appoints Sir Richard Needham to the board
Meggitt plc, the UK-based international aerospace and electronics group, is pleased to announce that The Right Honourable Sir Richard Needham will be joining the main Board of the company with immediate effect as a non-executive director.
Sir Richard has been working closely with Meggitt over recent months, assisting the company in strengthening its position in the Asia-Pacific region where it has recently opened a sales and marketing office.
Sir Richard Needham, was a Member of Parliament for 18 years. He retired from Government in 1995. During his time in Parliament he was a Minister for ten years, firstly in Northern Ireland where he became Minister for the Economy and subsequently as Minister of Trade in charge of the UK's worldwide export strategy.
Sir Richard is vice chairman of NEC Europe Limited and a director of Dyson Appliances Limited. He is a member of the British Malaysjan Society and is a founding member of the Anglo-Japanese 2000 Group and the UK Korea Forum for the Future.
